On the 21 st January 2016, the court accepted a plea of guilty to manslaughter from the defendant. He had been charged on an indictment filed on the 17th August 2009 with non-capital murder committed on the 29th February 2008, contrary to section 85(a) of the Criminal Code Cap 3.01 of the 2008 Revised Laws of St. Lucia.
