A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT 

During the past year the Saint Lucia Bar Association has been active in terms of achieving improvements in respect of the courthouse in which we have been accustomed to practising our profession. I am happy to take, for my Association, a small portion of the credit for the complete renovation of our main courthouse, which is under way and look forward to our being able to work in premises which are more conducive to the good health of High Court Judges, Court staff and Bar Association subscribers and non subscribers alike. I thank all the people who have taken the necessary steps to make this happen. Most of all I thank colleagues for their tremendous support without which the Bar Association could not have achieved these benefits for its members.

I am pleased to hereby announce the latest initiative of the Bar Association of Saint Lucia, our website. Lawyers will be listed annually on this website provided that they are in good financial standing. This website shall be used to post notices for the attention of members, and members whose names are listed on the website shall be able to access notification of cause lists, general notices and information from the Bar Association. I look forward to continued and increased participation of our members and further initiatives geared toward being able to serve our membership better.
